YOUR BOOTH IN ANGOULÊME 2009

Last January, the public was able to discover the Festival’s “face lift”. A new site in the town centre with a central walkway, a new friendly logo (the fauve), an outside « events » exhibition, a site dedicated to the Official Selection and clearer signposting…

This change was obviously accompanied by a cultural programme which emphasised the « live » events, offered a wide variety of exhibitions, created a gateway between comic strips and other art forms and offered encounters with the creators of this 9th art.

The diffusion of these improvements beyond the ramparts of Angoulême was promoted by new sponsorship with leading companies, providing their skill and their excellent relationship with the general public, first class media support and the development of a web TV enabling millions of internauts to watch the Festival.

The media acknowledged these changes often using the term "refoundation" to describe the 2008 edition.

A specific effort was also made to improve services offered to exhibitors by reinforcing reception infrastructures and optimising the layout (which facilitated the attendance of the different sites).
