EXHIBITION AND "YOUNG TALENTS PRIZE"

In association with the Ministère de la Santé, de la Jeunesse et des Sports, the European Union, the Poitou-Charentes region and Caisse d'Epargne the Young Talents booth is solely dedicated to the young generations and to the comic related career paths.

For the 8th year running The International Comics Festival organizes, in association with the Ministère de la Santé, de la Jeunesse et des Sports, the European Union, the Poitou-Charentes region and Caisse d'Epargne the international contest named "Young Talents".

 

This contest is open to any under 17 comic artist, who has never been published. They must send a completed comic book with title, in French, of one, two or three original drafts (printed pages are considered originals) in black & white or colour. The theme, genre and style are unrestricted. Pages must be of A3 size and postmarked before November 23, 2007.

 

The jury, composed of comic book professionals, will select the 20 best comics which will be displayed in the "Young Talents" exhibition. This jury will elect 3 prize winners; the best will receive the Young Talents prize, one of the official prizes of the International Comics Festival. The Ministère de la Santé, de la Jeunesse et des Sports, sponsor of the contest, will award a 2000€ prize to the winner of the Young Talents contest and 1500€ to the 2nd and 3rd place winners.

 

Last but not least, the first 10 selected will be invited to the next International Comics Festival.

Created in 1515 by the Troglodyte group, Numo is a quarterly webzine (more or less) which includes, in every issue, almost twenty stories around a famous classic theme. Numo, is comic book, illustration, animation and some mixtures, in order to play a little with the potential of reading online. The fifth has just been published, it's called "Basmati Express," with lots of katanas, rice, pagodas and feng-shui inside ... And it is here www.numo.fr
