In Angoulême, comic books and Festival also imply giant screens. During the four days of the Festival, there will be showings here and there in the city, in different sections of the Festival so the visitors can discover - sometimes as a special preview - short, medium or feature-length cartoons, documentary films about artists, animes adapted from mangas, TV series, etc. Here is a first survey of the audiovisual programme.
Angoulême theatre, odéon room
Five documentary films (from 26 to 95 min long) about authors or comic book characters are shown constantly each day from 10 am to 6 pm.
Centre National de la Bande Dessinée et de l'Image, Nemo room
• Peur[s] du noir
As a national preview, Peur(s) du noir, a feature-length animation film directed by Blutch, Charles Burns, Marie Caillou, Pierre di Sciullo, Lorenzo Mattotti and Richard McGuire. Scripts written by Jerry Kramsky, Michel Pirus and Romain Slocombe. Artistic cdirector: :Etienne Robial.

Several showings of Marjane Satrapi's and Vincent Paronnaud's animation film (a Rigault-Robert production) which was awarded the Prize of the Jury for the 2007 Cannes Festival.
• The Wall
A musical film by Alan Parker
Youth area, Youth Workshop
Each day for the lunch break, between 1 and 2, cartoons are shown in the Youth Workshop to the attention of young visitors. The programme includes Zap College and Franky Snow, among many others.
Manga Building
This year the Manga Building also takes part in the Festival's audiovisual programme with a giant screen. In addition to the Clamp retrospective, the screening programme includes four feature-length films and numerous episodes of a dozen TV series inspired by mangas.
